Timmy Slater, Organizational Consultant

Timm Slater has dedicated over three decades to public service and community development in Coos County, Oregon. He began his career in 1972, spending 35 years in timberlands management with Weyerhaeuser. Slater's commitment to local governance is evident through his extensive tenure on the North Bend City Council, serving nearly 18 years starting in 1981, with 12 years as Mayor. He returned to the council in 2012 for another decade and was re-elected in 2024. Beyond his council duties, Slater retired in 2023 after 16 years as Executive Director of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. His leadership extended to roles such as Chair of the Coos County Planning Commission and the Bay Area Enterprise Zone, as well as membership on the Coos Bay North Bend Water Board. A U.S. Army Reserve veteran, Slater continues to engage with the community, focusing on fostering a prosperous future for families on Oregon's south coast.
